NRA Home Firearm Safety
Upon Completion: You will receive the NRA Certificate, MSP BFS Certificate (required to obtain your LTC).

Name:NRA Home Firearm Safety Course
Short Description: Non-shooting course and teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.
More Details: This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.
- Standard NRA HFS Course, plus MA gun law to meet Mass State Police course certification requirements (for Resident or Non-Resdent LTCi.
- Location will be Londonderry Fish & Game Club (NH).
- Cost is $125.00 and this takes ~5 hours. [Cost is $175.00 with live fire (I supply ammo and firearms) for MA Residents and takes 6-7 hours.]
- MA Residents: Live fire with .22LR (revolver, semi-auto pistols, rifle), 9mm semi-auto pistol, AR-15 (.223) and AK-47 (7.62x39) included and signed off on the MSP course certification form (some towns won't accept the cert without live fire), to give the student a well rounded experience.
- $25.00 minimum deposit (non-refundable) is required to reserve a seat in this class.
